  1. Cruising like a Kite
In this world, where people from their personalities by the clothes they wear, the cars they drive and the kites they fly. Kite boarding unlike skateboarding and surfing is not so commercialized. It’s about enjoying, what nature has presented us, the wind and the ocean.
Imagine how it feels to speed across the water, powered by a sail in the sky. You’re standing on board, watching the kite above, the waves ahead, you jump in the air, not a foot or two but 20 – 30 feet. You hang in the air for long, then on the water again, speeding across the ocean. This is Kite boarding an action sport, which is challenging, yet full of fun.
If you are a confident swimmer, with average fitness level, this could then be your hobby for life. You will be chasing the wind and the waves, rather your business worries. One only needs light wind (7-10 knots) to ride with, compact equipment and the addictive nature of being free to go, with friends or with family members, using the power of wind.
The sport is easy to learn than it looks, as most of it revolves around the techniques of flying a kite. Women can equally participate, as it doesn’t require a muscle builder. It’s the technique, not the strength which makes a good kite boarder. Women rather come out better kite boarders, as they tend to work with the kite, rather than trying to overpower and beat into submission. Thus, if not handled properly, it could be dangerous not only for you but others on the beach as well. It’s rather a must, that a beginner goes to an IKO (International Kite Organization) certified kite-boarding center, where not only it would be safe, rather one can do kiting rather independently. An IKO certified center keeps on getting up-dates on techniques and innovation. Also, the kite-boarder is insurance worth 2 million Euros, in case of any injury sustained.
